More areas now under Alert Level 1

The national government announced that more areas will be placed under Alert Level 1 starting Saturday (April 9) until April 15.

In a statement Friday, acting Presidential Spokesperson Martin Andanar said Mountain Province in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Southern Leyte in Region VIII, and Misamis Oriental in Region X will be downgraded to Alert level 1.

 

The other areas included in the de-escalation are Buguias in Benguet, Atimonan and Tiaong in Quezon, Santa Magdalena in Sorsogon, Masbate City, Batad and Zarraga in Iloilo, Talisay City in Cebu, Javier (Bugho) and La Paz in Leyte, Maslog in Easter Samar, Paranas (Wright) in Samar (Western Samar), Linamon in Lanao del Norte, Calamba in Misamis Occidental, Padada in Davao del Sur, Sibagat in Agusan del Sur, and Tubajon and Cagdianao in Dinagat Islands. 

On March 31, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) retained the Alert Level 1 classification of the National Capital Region and 48 other areas until April 15. AG-ngs
