MANILA – Generally fair weather will prevail over most parts of the archipelago, the weather bureau said Thursday, Apr. 14.

“Most of the country will have fair weather, except for isolated rains that will only last for a short period,” Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

Eastern Visayas, Masbate, Sorsogon, and Dinagat Islands will experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of a typhoon, but Aurelio said the rains would not be as much as in the past days.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms are forecast over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Legazpi’s temperature will reach up to 33°C; Metro Manila and Laoag, up to 32°C; Davao, up to 33°C; and Zamboanga, up to 32°C.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over northern Luzon and the eastern section of central and southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas. (PNA) – bny
