Fair weather, thunderstorms expected on Easter Sunday

MANILA – Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms on Sunday, April 17.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned of possible flash floods or landslides in case of severe thunderstorms

There are no active tropical cyclones monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

The Visayas, Palawan (including Kalayaan Islands), Occidental Mindoro, and Mindanao will likewise have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.

Moderate to occasional heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms were also expected in the afternoon over Cebu (portion of Balamban, of Toledo City, of Pinamungahan, Aloguinsan, Asturias); Bohol (Maribojoc, Antequera, Balilihan, Cortes, Loon, Corella, portion of Tagbilaran City); Leyte (Bato, Matalom); and Southern Leyte (portion of Maasin City).
