Neck and neck battle between Robredo, Marcos possible – political analyst

A neck and neck battle between presidential bets Vice President Leni Robredo and former Senator Bongbong Marcos is possible in the country’s high-stakes election on May 9, a political analyst said Wednesday, April 27.

Citing the results of multiple surveys and Google Trends, political analyst Anbony Cuanico believes the upcoming elections will be a close fight between Robredo and Marcos.

Cuico, however, said that surveys are just “snapshots” or mere projections and do not indicate the actual results of elections.

Marcos has been consistently leading pre-election surveys while Robredo is the most searched candidate on Google Trends.

Google Trends is known for correctly predicting election results in the United States, Brazil, and other countries. It recently predicted the win of French reelectionist President Emmanuel Macron. – ag
