ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, rain showers over Mindanao

MANILA – Parts of Mindanao will have overcast skies and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Saturday, April 30, brought by the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

In its 4 a.m. weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the ITCZ will also affect Palawan.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Davao region, Soccsksargen, Bangsamoro region, and Surigao del Sur.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought by the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Winds in Luzon and the Visayas will be light to moderate and headed east to southeast, with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Mindanao will also have light to moderate winds but headed east to northeast, also with slight to moderate seas.

The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 26°C to 34°C; Baguio City, 17°C to 26°C; Tagaytay City, 24°C to 32°C; Metro Cebu, 26°C to 32°C; Cagayan de Oro City, 24°C to 31°C; and Metro Davao, 24°C to 32°C. (PNA) – gb
