Duterte legacy caravan serves over 1K Kalinga residents

BAGUIO CITY – More than 1,000 residents in Kalinga province have availed of the free services offered by the “Duterte Legacy Caravan,” the Police Regional Office in the Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR) said on Monday, May 2.

“Following the successful launching of the Duterte Legacy Caravan of the Police Regional Office Cordillera, the same activity was initiated by Kalinga Police Provincial Office benefitting a total of 1,142 participants in Kalinga,” PRO-CAR information officer Capt. Marnie Abellanida said in a press release.

The activity was held on Sunday, May 1.

He said the Kalinga activity’s them was “Pagkakaisa ng Mamamayan at Pamahalaan tungo sa Pagbangon, Kapayapaan, at Kaunlaran (Unity of the People and Government towards Peace and Progress).”

The event was participated in by 25 other government agencies that provided their free services and gave our information about the services of their respective offices.

Abellanida said among the services offered during the caravan were free circumcision services; free haircuts; distribution of seedlings; COVID-19 vaccination; the processing of National identification; issuance of police clearances; services on Philippine Health Insurance-related inquiries; awarding of livelihood starter kits; the processing of driver’s license; and enrollment for training with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

“There was also a distribution of flyers and information material on the various services that can be obtained from the different agencies were also done,” the officer said. (PR) – gb
