Aksyon Demokratiko senator aspirant Carl Balita conceded defeat on Tuesday, May 10, after failing to enter the top 12 spot in the unofficial and partial election result.

Balita is currently at the 30th place.

“Senate Candidate #6, is signing off. You heard the voice and stance of the first Nurse, Midwife, Licensed Teacher, Doctor of Education, EntrepGuru as a candidate,” Balita said in a Facebook post.

He added that he will go back to his family and focus on his class, businesses, social media, and advocacies.

“Tomorrow will take care of itself.

Balita also expressed his gratitude to his supporters and vowed to “privately continue doing good things for the country.”

“Since [I] was convinced by [the] health, [education], and [micro, small, and medium enterprises] sectors to run, [I] gave it all – in preparing myself, and in introducing myself to everyone. I became your favorite in debates and fora. I did what [I[ had to do. But not enough Filipinos voted for me. Let’s [do] it, privately.” – gb
