Mangondato, Serapio accept defeat

Presidential aspirant Faisal Mangondato and his running mate Atty. Carlos Serapio conceded on Tuesday, May 10, to the tandem of former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio who are both leading in the unofficial and partial election result.

“Mangondato – Serapio congratulated the Marcos – Duterte Team who obtained the People’s Mandate. They expressed the hope that Marcos & Duterte will govern with Divine Wisdom as their guide and the welfare of the nation and people as their paramount interest,” the Katipunan ng Kamalayang Kayumanggi Katipunan Party said in a press statement.

Currently, Mangondato ranked sixth among 10 presidential bets, while Serapio is at eighth spot among nine vice presidential aspirants.

Mangondato and Serapio also congratulated Filipino voters for participating in the May 9 polls.

“The tandem of Bro. Faisal Montay Mangondato and Atty. Carlos Gelacio Serapio proudly congratulated the Filipino people for coming out to vote in droves to express their sovereign will,” the party added.

“They said that the people’s adherence to the principles of democracy and the rule of law is an inspiration for all those aspiring to serve the nation to abide by these convictions.” – ag
