DOH denies circulating false COVID-19 vaccine incentives

The Department of Health (DOH) advised the public on Thursday, May 26 against “false promises and offers” of vaccine incentives for individuals who had bad experience with COVID-19 vaccines.

In an advisory, the DOH denied messages circulating online regarding government provision of such incentives and awards.

The DOH urged the public to be updated through getting the right information from trusted DOH sources to prevent disinformation.

“The Department of Health denies these false promises and offers. We urge everyone to always check official DOH sources before forwarding anything. Delete chain messages.” DOH stated.”

They reiterated that all vaccines coming from the government are all proven safe and effective, as it went through thorough studies, research and laboratory testing here and abroad.

“All vaccines provided by government are proven safe and effective. They have undergone peer-reviewed studies and scrutiny by experts, both globally and locally,” it added.

DOH also encouraged everyone to be responsible in disseminating news to the public instead of sharing false news and rumors. “Instead of spreading false and unverified rumors, let’s be responsible and do our part in sharing the right information. Let’s save lives, think before you click.”  – ag
