Filipina conservationist Billie Dumaliang was feted in Forbes “30 Under 30” in Asia for 2022.

Dumaliang, advocacy officer and trustee at the Masungi Georeserve Foundation, was featured in the Social Impact category.

She was recognized for “systemically and sustainably transforming education, business, and beyond.”

“This goes out to our entire team and rangers, who are holding the line at Masungi,” Dumaliang said.

“It shows that our work and innovative approaches continue to be recognized and supported by the international community,” she added.

Masungi Georeserve, a conservation area in the southern Sierra Madre range, was awarded the 2021 Water Changemakers Award and a special commendation in the 2018 United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity.

The 2022 list featured 30 under 30 honorees, with 22 countries and territories represented across the Asia-Pacific region.

Forbes said the criteria for honorees making the list included their demonstration of leadership, how they embody the entrepreneurial spirit, and their potential of success in their industry. – ag
