4 PH universities listed in QS World rankings

Four Philippine universities were listed on the annual Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings.

The University of the Philippines remained the top Philippine university at 412th, falling by 13 places from its previous rank at 399 last year.

The Ateneo de Manila University also dropped to the 651-700 bracket, from the 601-650 group last year, while De La Salle University and University of Santo Tomas maintained their ranks of 801-1,000.

For the 11th year in a row, Massachusetts Institute of Technology remained the world’s number one university, followed by the University of Cambridge at second and Stanford University at third.

In Asia, National University of Singapore remained the top 1 university in the region, placing 11th in the world rankings.

The QS World University Rankings featured over 1,400 universities from around the world.

Institutions are assessed in six indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty, and international student/faculty ratio. – ngs
