Senator-elect Raffy Tulfo takes oath

Radio broadcaster and senator-elect Raffy Tulfo took his oath on Wednesday, June 22, before Senior Associate Justice Marvic Leonen at the Supreme Court building in Manila.

Tulfo was sworn in beside his wife, ACT-CIS RepresentativeJocelyn Tulfo.

Tulfo garnered a total of 23,166,449 votes in the recent May 9 elections, making him the third most-voted senatorial bet after celebrity Robin Padilla and reelectionist Loren Legarda.

According to Senate Majority Leader Sen. Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri, Tulfo is set to lead the Senate committees on energy and on overseas Filipino workers.

Tulfo will join the 19th Congress under the Marcos administration.  – ag
