President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. led the oath taking of his Cabinet members in Malacañang on Thursday, June 30, following his inauguration at the National Museum of Fine Arts.
His selected Cabinet members including Vice President Sara Duterte, now the head of the Department of Education (DepEd), took an oath in Malacañang to begin their term under the new administration.
The Chief Executive was accompanied by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and their sons, Vincent Marcos, Simon Marcos, and Ilocos Norte Representative Sandro Marcos.
“I suppose this is the first act of actual work that we will be doing for this administration,” Marcos said.

Former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile who was appointed as Chief Presidential Legal Counsel did not attend the inauguration and oath taking after testing positive for COVID-19 as shared on his Facebook post last June 26.
The newly installed President now heads the Department of Agriculture to personally address the country’s agricultural problems which have an enormous impact on the economy. – ngs
