4.1-magnitude quake hits Davao del Sur

A 4.1-magnitude quake hit Matanao, Davao del Sur Wednesday morning, July 6, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.

The quake, which was tectonic in origin, struck six kilometers (km) southwest of Matanao at 7:53 a.m.

The tremor had a dept of 17 km.

Instrumental Intensity III was felt in Malungon, Sarangani, while Instrumental Intensity II was felt in Kidapawan City, Cotabato. Instrumental I was also felt in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

No damages were reported. Aftershocks are not expected.
