Marcos’ new appointees take oath

New batch of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s appointees took oath Tuesday, July 6, at the Malacañang Palace.

Veteran actor Tirso Cruz III sworn in as the chairperson and chief executive of the Film Development Council, while Junie Cua will serve as the chairperson of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.

Antonio Manuel Lagdameo will be the ambassador and permanent representative of the Philippines to the United States.

Meanwhile, Mark Lapid was designated to be the chief operating officer of the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority, while Romeo Lumagui Jr. will serve as the deputy commissioner for operations of the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

Marcos appointed Juan Revilla as a board member for the Movie and Televisions Review and Classification Board. Jose Manuel Romualdez will be the Philippine ambassador to the United States. 

Abdulghani Salapuddin will serve as the administrator and chairman of Southern Philippines Development Authority, Jose Arnulfo as the president and general manager for the Government Service Insurance System, Ramon Zagala as the commander and senior military assistant of the Presidential Security Group, and Amenah Pangandaman as the secretary of the Department of Budget and Management will serve under the Marcos administration. – gb
