Two tropical cyclones are expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in the coming days, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday, July 7.
In the Laging Handa briefing, PAGASA Administrator Undersecretary Vicente Malano said the typhoon’s characteristics are similar to those of recent tropical cyclones Caloy and Domeng.
“Meron po tayong inaasahan after three days.
Malano said that an average of 20 typhoons are entering PAR every year, and that 11 to 14 more typhoons are expected until the last quarter of 2022.
A total of four tropical cyclones have already entered the country since January.
Other parts of the country will continue to experience bad weather in the coming days due to the low pressure area and intertropical convergence zone.
– ag
