The Presidential Security Group (PSG) is gearing up for the first State of the Nation (SONA) address of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on July 25.

An inter-agency meeting was held Monday, July 11, which was attended by officials from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard, Manila International Airport Authority, Civil Aviation Authority, Department of Health, and the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency.

Through the guidance of PSG Group Commander Col. Ramon Zagala, the inter-agency group will ensure the safety and security of Marcos as well as the attendees before, during, and after the event.

According to PSG, they will “hold a series of oculars, walk-throughs and inter-agency coordination until the day of the SONA itself.”

Moreover, in the Laging Handa press briefing, PNP Spokesperson Jean Fajardo said they are preparing for the security procedures along with other agencies to ensure an orderly and safe SONA of Marcos, Jr. – gb
