The official said the Department of Energy also shared its programs, while the Department of Social Welfare and Development gave a status report on the July 27 magnitude 7.0 earthquake.

Although the United States and China tension was not included in the agenda, Malacañang assured that it is monitoring the situation in Taiwan.

Magri-react na lang tayo matapos ang masusing pag-aaral at saka subject to the information that we get from that monitoring. Before that, the President will not yet issue a statement,” Angeles said.

“Tingnan po natin kung ano ang mga pangyayari, nag-iingat po tayo rito sa mga ganitong klaseng sitwasyon,” she added.  –ag
