Expanded number coding scheme suspended until Aug. 24 due to ‘Florita’

By Gabriela Baron

The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) suspended the expanded number coding scheme from Tuesday, Aug. 23 until Wednesday, Aug. 24, due to Severe Tropical Storm Florita.

MMDA said the suspension is in view of the suspension of work and classes by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. due to heavy rains brought by “Florita.”

Classes in all levels and work in government offices in Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Bulacan, Zambales, and Bataas have been suspended until Wednesday.

Under MMDA’s new scheme, coding will be imposed from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
