The southwest monsoon (habagat) will be affecting the western sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas on Saturday, Sept. 17, according to the country’s weather bureau.

Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, Aklan, Antique, and Negros Occidental will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to habagat, based on Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (PAGASA) 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to habagat and localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Typhoon Josie which entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 5:40 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, intensified into a super typhoon at around 8:00 p.m. It left PAR at around 10:00 p.m. on the same day.

No gale warnings have been issued for Saturday.
