LTFRB condemns PUV drivers’ overcharging

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) strongly condemned the overcharging of fare by some public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers.

This was after Joshua Hong, a member of the famous Korean Pop boy group Seventeen, shared that he was overcharged by a taxi driver in the amount of over P1,000 when he visited the country last month.

It also reiterated its reminder that anyone caught violating protocols may be fined or may face cancellation of their Certificate of Public Convenience.

The LTFRB asked the public to report similar incidents through the LTFRB 24/7 hotline 1342,  through its official Facebook page and Facebook Messenger, or via e-mail at pacd@ltfrb.gov.ph. –ag
