2 weather systems to bring rains over parts of PH

Two weather systems – northeast monsoon or “amihan” and intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ)– are affecting parts of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday, Oct. 23.

In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, and Cordillera Administrative Region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to “amihan.”

Mindanao, on the other hand, will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to ITCZ.

PAGASA said possible flash floods or landslides may occur in Mindanao due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Localized thunderstorms will bring partly to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds heading northeast and moderate to rough seas while Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate northeast to northwest winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.

The temperature ranges between 24.9 °C and 32.0 °C. (PNA) – gb
