‘Balik Aral Program’ fund drive set at DLSU Dasmarinas

DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite – A “Balik-Aral Program” fund campaign will be launched on Dec. 7 through the new student council officers’ “White Christmas” event at the De La Salle University (DLSU) Dasmariñas Ugnayang La Salle.

The “KALOOB MO, HANDOG MO,” is a two-pronged event which raises funds to support education through the “Balik-Aral Program” (BAP) and inculcates among students the value of appreciating and giving in return.

Proceeds of the campaign will go to the DLSU D’s One La Salle Fund and the BAP trust fund.

Administered by the Professional Education Department under the College of Education (CoED), the Balik Aral program is a special curriculum that prepares out of school youth for the Department of Education’s (DepEd) ALS program.

Volunteer faculty, staff and students from the College of Education also facilitate the program after their regular class schedules.

Enrolment to the program is accommodated year round but organizers advised the beneficiaries to start the program in January to be able to attend the necessary preparations for the qualifying examination held sometime in Oct.
For the out-of-school youth preparation, the actual Acceleration and Equivalent Test (A&E Test) is tentatively scheduled late January or early February every year.

At the fund drive event, BAP’s in-house talents will spice up entertainment presentations during the program launch at 4 p.m.on Dec. 7 with an overview and background for the donors to the fund campaign and project accomplishments.

Interested patrons and donors may get in touch with DLSU-Dasmarinas at +6346.481.1900 loc. 3236. (Gladys Pino/PNA)
