The “Kadiwa ng Pasko” project of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s administration is expected to provide additional profit for many farmers and fisherfolk and provide affordable and high-quality food products.

The project was launched in Mandaluyong City on Wednesday, Nov. 16,  as part of the government’s measures to cut down the prices of basic goods.

The launching of nationwide Kadiwa centers will also spare farmers from unscrupulous traders and middlemen.

In his speech, the President said the national government through the project will be able to aid farmers in promoting local agricultural markets.

A total of fourteen sites were launched simultaneously across the country including the 11 centers in the National Capital Region, one in Tacloban City, one in Davao de Oro, and one in Koronadal City, South Cotabato. -ag
