Generally fair weather will prevail in the country on Monday, although some areas may experience rain showers, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may be experienced over Mimaropa, Bicol Region, the Visayas and Mindanao.

The PAGASA said these areas could possibly experience flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Luzon, on the other hand, will have light rains caused by the northeast monsoon.

PAGASA weather specialist Veronica Torres said no low pressure area was monitored near the Philippine Area of Responsibility. The country is also not expecting a tropical cyclone to develop or enter in the next 24 to 48 hours.

The temperature in Metro Manila, Kalayaan Islands, Puerto Princesa City and Tuguegarao City will reach up to 31°C, and up to 30°C in Laoag.

Zamboanga’s temperature will reach up to 34°C, while Davao’s temperature is up to 32 °C. Up to 31°C is forecast in Tacloban.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over the eastern section of the country.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
