The University of the Philippines (UP) will resume its in-person college entrance examination for first-year admission for Academic Year 2024-2025, the university’s admissions head announced Wednesday.

The UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) will be held on June 3-4, 2023, Saturday and Sunday, in more than 100 test sites nationwide.

“All applications are to be done online and applications need to encode their grades for Grades 8, 9, 10, and 11 in the UPCAT online portal. Though applicants may still be in Grade 11 when they apply, exam takers will encode their grades online only in September 2023 when Grade 11 grades are final and complete,” the announcement read.

UPCAT 2024 will accept applications in the first week of March 2023 through the university’s online portal.

Qualified applicants are set to admit to UP in the first semester of the school year 2024-2025.

Meanwhile, other Philippine universities are yet to announce the resumption of their respective entrance tests.

The university halted UPCAT in 2020 due to the pandemic. -ag
