25 Filipinos from quake-hit Turkey back in PH

The 25 Filipinos from earthquake-hit Turkey arrived in the Philippines on Monday, Feb. 28.

Department of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega and Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Repatriation and Assistance Division Director Regina Galias welcomed the first batch of Filipinos on Flight QR32 on Monday.

The DMW assisted 16 children at the airport.

Meanwhile, the 82-man Philippine contingent who helped in search and rescue operations in Turkey and provided medical aid to earthquake victims is expected to arrive on Tuesday, Feb. 28.

At least three Filipinos died in the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria. –PTV News/gb
