The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said the search and rescue team for the missing “yellow bee” chopper retrieved a dilapidated rainbow-colored pillow owned by the patient aboard the air ambulance.

The pillow was found at approximately 13.64 nautical miles from Balabac, Palawan at around 12:10 p.m. on Thursday, a day after it was reported missing.

“The said pillow was owned by the patient on board yellow bee, as confirmed by her uncle,” the PCG said in its update.

The PCG earlier reported the recovery of a gas tank suspected to have come from the missing helicopter.

Yellow Bee is a medical chopper that transports patients from far-flung areas for free.

It lost contact at 12:10 p.m. while headed to Brooke’s Point after fetching a patient in Mangsee Island at around 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

Yellow bee is part of the Philippine Adventist Medical Aviation Services (PAMAS) mission, a non-profit organization that provides aerial transport.

It currently has five aircrafts joining authorities for the search and rescue operations.

PAMAS is accepting donations to help fuel its five aircrafts for the rescue operations.
