Archeologists unearthed human remains and artifacts believed to be 600 to 800 years old in Daanbantayan, Cebu.

Archeologist Dr. Jobers Barsales and his team carried out anew unearthing of human remains and artifacts on March 2 after conducting archeological investigation in Daanbantayan on Feb. 16.

According to Bersales, human remains and artifacts were accidentally unearthed last Feb. 14 by workers digging a drainage ditch at the front of the Lambero R. Te Cultural Center in Barangay Poblacion, Daanbantayan.

Bersales revealed that the possible age of the burials are 600 to 800 years old based on Chinese ceramics excavated from the site.

Radiocarbon dating will be used to determine the exact age of the human remains. -cf
