‘Nakapasok sa work, normal naman’: Commuters say no disruption in first day of transport strike

Some commuters said there was no disruption in their usual routes going to work during the first day of the week-long transport strike on Monday, March 6.

One netizen said he was still able to go to work despite various transport groups suspending their trips.

Meanwhile, another one said it was just the same as other days.

This, despite transport group PISTON saying that as of Monday afternoon that routes in Valenzuela, Malabon, and University of the Philippines, as well as some parts in Manila and in Quezon City were “90 to 100% paralyzed.”

Meanwhile, Malacañang said public utility vehicles (PUV) remain in normal operations except in select routes during the first day of the week-long transport strike.

At least 11 PUV groups in Metro Manila did not participate in the said strike. — ag
