The Commission on Election (Comelec) said on Monday, March 13, that they are eyeing to utilize new voting technology for the 2025 election in the country.

Comelec Spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco said in a public briefing that the Comelec is looking for a modern and affordable election system due to the increasing population of voters.

Laudingco said the Comelec will plan the terms of preference and eventually conduct a public briefing since it’s a government procurement.

“Hinahanap namin ‘yung mga mas maganda, mas mabisa, mas moderno at pagsasama-samahin namin ito bilang terms of preference at s’yang gagawin natin para makapag-public briefing tayo ng ating bagong election system,” Laudiangco continued. – gb
