The Philippine Coast Guard recognized 377 all-female trainees of the agency’s Non-Officers’ Course Class 97-2022 “Alab Haraya” on Tuesday, March 14.

They were from the Non-Officers’ Course Class 97-2022 “Alab Haraya.”

Coast Guard Education, Training, and Doctrine Command (CGETDC) Deputy Commander, CG Commodore Roben De Guzman led their recognition and lauded the trainees who passed the first part of the training to become coast guardians.

“[We will] continually remind them to be responsible and accountable for their actions,” De Guzman said.

“We will always guide and remind them to be good citizens, to be good sons, to be good brothers who will serve the Filipino people,” he added.

The ceremony, held in San Fernando City, La Union, was attended by the trainees’ family and friends they didn’t see since they were in training. – gb
