SWS: 69% of unvaccinated Pinoys hesitant to get the shot

Around 69% of unvaccinated Filipino adults still refuse to get COVID-19 vaccines, based on the latest survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) released on Thursday, March 16.

The SWS Fourth Quarter 2022 survey conducted from Dec. 10 to 14 showed that 12% of the unvaccinated are only willing to be vaccinated while 19% are undecided.

Around 32% of adults who received their first and second doses are open to getting their booster shots and 44% are not.

Meanwhile, 55% of adults who have received the third dose are willing to receive the fourth dose or second booster while 32% are not willing.

An estimated 62.6 million Filipinos or 87% are already vaccinated against COVID-19, 13% have not been vaccinated, 6% got their 1st dose, and 57% have already completed their second dose.

About 17% have received their 3rd dose or first booster, while 6% have received their 2nd booster. -ag
