Four female educators won the 2022 Civil Service Commission (CSC) Pagasa award under the Search for Outstanding Government Workers for their contributions on farming and technology.
“Ang mga babaeng guro ang nagsisilbing pangalawang ina ng ating mga anak sa loob ng paaralan,” CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles said.
“Kaya naman nagagalak ang Komisyon sa Serbisyo Sibil dahil patuloy silang kinikilala at nabibigyan ng karampatang parangal sa pamamagitan ng Search for Outstanding Government Workers,” he added.
An individual or group receives CSC Pagasa for outstanding contributions to multiple government departments.
The awardees include: Ailene Añonuevo, the Chief Education Supervisor of the Schools Division of Panabo City, Davao del Norte, whose research on the alarming dropout rate of Indigenous students due to their remote location of school resulted in the establishment of a Balay Paglaum para sa Estudyanteng Lumad for Grades 7 to 12.
Pablita Cabarles, Master Teacher I at the Manga National High School in Tagbilaran City, was recognized for transforming her school into a certified Integrated Diversified Organic Farming System Learning Site and introducing container gardening and edible landscaping to increase crop, vegetable, and ornamental viability.
Rina Paguia and Mirasol Rosano, both from the Bataan Peninsula State University, were recognized for improving the lives of rice farmers in Bataan by introducing and promoting an integrated farming system approach through mushroom production, vermin composing, and off-season vegetable production using rice straws.
Joyzel R. Odi, the only woman in the Provincial Government of Davao de Oro’s eGov Technical Team, led her team in using eGovernance to improve public service delivery in their province by developing various information and communication technology systems that led the solutions improved local government operations, business and government service delivery, agency interoperability, and the province’s pandemic response.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. honored Añonuevo, Cabarles, Paguia, Rosano, and Odi at the Awards Rites for Outstanding Government Workers on March 8 in Malacañang. – gb
