Japan donates school building to IPs in Kidapawan

The Consulate General of Japan in Davao has donated a four-classroom building worth P5.1 million to the Datu Igwas Indigenous People (IP) Integrated School in Sitio Embasi, Barangay Perez, Kidapawan City, the local government shared on Wednesday, March 29.

The school building is a project under the consulate office’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects program, the construction of which began in May 2022 and was completed this month.

Consul General of Japan Yoshihisa Ishikawa attended the turn-over ceremony as the guest of honor. He was joined by other local government officials.

The officials expressed gratitude to Ishikawa for providing a project that will significantly benefit the students and transform their lives.

The ceremonial turn-over of the key, cutting of ribbon, and unveiling of marker were conducted consecutively with other dignitaries and guests. -KC/ag
