The Department of Justice on Monday, April 3, confirmed that suspended Negros Oriental Third District Representative Arnolfo Teves Jr. “appears to be” the main mastermind in the killing of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo.

According to Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, this stemmed from Teves’ strong connection to one of the alleged masterminds arrested last Friday, March 31.

The arrested suspect was former army reservist Marvin Miranda, who is now under the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation.

Remulla said Miranda is scheduled to undergo inquest on Monday. CF/with reports from Louisa Erispe – gb
