With the summer season hitting the Philippines, some beachgoers raved about the beauty of El Nido in Palawan Island.

We asked netizens to name their favorite beach in the Philippines and many mentioned the pristine beaches of Palawan.

“Halos lahat na ata napuntahan ko na pero para sa akin El Nido sa Palawan,” one netizen wrote.

More than its pristine clear waters, El Nido is often described as a ‘paradise’ comprising 50 beaches among its set of small islands.

Last March, England-based website worldbeachguide.com ranked Hidden Beach, El Nido in fourth spot among the Top 100 beaches on Earth for 2023.

Celebrities are also often seen visiting the island due to its beauty and safety within the area.

The website also listed Boracay’s white beach in the 19th spot.

Although many still prefer Boracay, some expressed their concern for the popular beach spot.

Last 2018, Boracay Island was closed down by former President Rodrigo Duterte due to poor sewerage and overdevelopment on the island.

Meanwhile, others cannot help but jokingly mention the accessibility of the Dolomite Beach in Manila Bay.

“Dolomite beach solid!”

“Wala. [Kasi] wala naman ako napuntahan [na] beach except Dolomite,” one netizen commented.

The Department of Tourism issued in March the Memorandum Circular 2023-0002 which eased the health and safety guidelines on tourism establishments to open the country to tourists and travelers. -ag
