Students from Occidental Mindoro school experience heat stress

Nine students from San Jose National High School (SJNHS) in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro experienced heat stress due to the severe hot weather.

The students reportedly felt dizzy due to the heat but they were attended to immediately and did not need further medical attention.

The school did not record any incident of dizziness as of Friday, April 21.

Meanwhile, SJNHS is currently implementing shifting of classes in response to the extreme heat and power crisis the province is facing.

Those learners with medical conditions are allowed to use modular delivery mode of learning.

The provincial government of Occidental Mindoro earlier declared a state of calamity due to the worsening power outages. – cf
