Warm, humid weather to prevail across PH

By Ma. Cristina Arayata | Philippine News Agency

It will be warm and humid across the country on Friday, April 28, the weather bureau said.

“There will be a slim chance of rains over most areas in the country. No tropical cyclone is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility until the first few days of May,” Benison Estareja of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

The temperature in Tuguegarao, Metro Manila, and Kalayaan Islands is forecast to reach as high as 35°C; in the Visayas and Mindanao, including Davao, up to 34°C; and in Iloilo, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and Zamboanga, up to 33°C.

Estareja, however, noted that the heat index or the temperature that a person feels may reach more than 40°C in some areas in the country.

Isolated rain showers are also likely.

The whole country, meanwhile, will continue to experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. – cf
