The University of the Philippines (UP) is set to administer its college admission test from June 3 to 4, after a three-year suspension of the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) due to COVID-19.

At the Laging Handa public briefing on Tuesday, May 2, UP President Atty. Angelo Jimenez reminded the examinees to actively check their emails for their test information.

“Buong month ng May, antabayanan lang po sana nila ang kanilang mga email kasi nandoon po ang mga schedules,” said Jimenez.

Jimenez said UP is sending out 3,000 emails containing testing information per day.

Starting May 31, test supervisors will be sent nationwide.

“Nakipag-ugnayan na rin po tayo sa Department of Interior and Local Government at kapulisan sa ibang mga lugar to make sure na very safe ‘yung proseso ng pagkuha ng exam sa June 3 to 4,” he added.

The university has also coordinated with the Metro Manila Development Authority to navigate the heavy traffic during the testing period in Diliman, Quezon City.

UP has set up around 101 testing centers around the country with 40,000 of the overall examinees to take their exams in Diliman. – gb
