The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has a free theoretical driving course (TDC) for pre-registered student drivers on May 11 and 12 in line with the agency’s move to promote road safety.

LTO chief Jay Art Tugade said the initiative, in line with LTO’s 111th anniversary celebration, will help those who cannot afford driving courses to learn about driving.

“LTO recognizes that not all Filipinos have the financial means to cover TDC fees, which is why we have arranged for the provision of complimentary TDCs at our regional offices,” he said.

“While we can only accommodate a limited number of students, this initiative demonstrates the agency’s dedication to increasing the number of qualified drivers on the road, in partnership with our affiliated driving schools,” he added.

The LTO said free TDC will be conducted monthly or regularly in all LTO offices in a bid to cut down the transaction of fixers. – cf
