MANILA – Warm weather will continue over most parts of the country but rain showers and thunderstorms are also likely to occur, the weather bureau said Monday, May 15.

“There is a high chance of experiencing rain showers caused by the southwesterly surface wind flow and localized thunderstorms,” Obet Badrina of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

PAGASA also warned of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The frontal system affecting extreme Northern Luzon will cause cloudy skies with rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

Flash floods and landslides are also possible in these areas due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Badrina said no weather disturbance was seen to affect the country in the next two to three days.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas continue to prevail across the archipelago, PAGASA said. (PNA)
