The Bureau of Immigration (BI) said a “fake Filipino” or a Chinese national misrepresenting himself as a Filipino is set to be deported following his arrest last May 16 in Ermita, Manila.

Sixty years old Tai Fang Ching has a warrant of deportation by the BI since July 22 for being an undesirable alien after he used the name Albert Torres Abaya for his business and other transactions.

According to the BI, Tai used the fake name to file incorporation papers of his business with the Securities and Exchange Commission, to apply for a driver’s license, and to register business with the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

“Aliens who flaunt and make a mockery of our immigration and citizenship laws do not deserve the privilege to stay here. They should be expelled and banned from re-entering the country,” BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco.

He is detained at the BI Warden Facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City before his deportation.

He will be banned from entering the country for good once he is deported. – cf
