The Philippines is set to host the Forbes Asia Forum and the Forbes Global CEO Conference in the fourth quarter of 2024, Malacañang announced on Friday, June 2.
According to Malacañang, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. agreed to host the events as they are “expected to result in wider exposure for the country in line with the administration’s effort to attract more foreign investors.”
“I hope that we can feature that in this conference and we can show the Philippines as it is now, as opposed to perhaps some of the ideas that people have had almost for a while,” the President told Forbes’ top executives during their meeting on Thursday, June 1.
The conference will convene global chief executive officers, tycoons, entrepreneurs, investors, and leaders to discuss key issues of international concern and build new partnerships.
Malacañang said the visiting executives have invited President Marcos to take part in this year’s global conference in Singapore, which will also serve as the venue for this year’s Forbes Asia Forum. -ag
