Fair weather, isolated rain showers to prevail across PH Monday

By Ma. Cristina Arayata | Philippine News Agency

Most parts of the country will experience fair weather with isolated rain showers on Monday, July 3, the weather bureau said.

Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies affecting the Visayas and Mindanao will prevail over Caraga, Davao and Northern Mindanao regions and the provinces of Leyte, Southern Leyte, and Bohol.

Moderate to at times heavy rains may be experienced in these areas and could result in flash floods or landslides, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

PAGASA Weather Specialist Obet Badrina said generally fair weather will prevail over Luzon and the rest of the country. Thunderstorms and rain showers are likely in the afternoon or evening.

He added that no weather disturbance was seen to affect the country in the next three days.

Meanwhile, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will continue to prevail across the archipelago, PAGASA said. – cf
