Isolated rains to prevail over PH Sunday

MANILA — Isolated rainshowers will prevail over most parts of the archipelago, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday morning.

The tail-end of a cold front affecting the eastern part of southern Luzon, and the northeast monsoon affecting northern and central Luzon, will cause scattered rains over these areas.

Bicol, Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the tail-end of a cold front.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and Aurora will have cloudy skies with scattered rains caused by the northeast monsoon. This weather system will also cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains over Metro Manila, Ilocos and the rest of central Luzon.

The rest of the country, on the other hand, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers, especially over the eastern section.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will prevail over Luzon, and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
