The southwest monsoon (habagat) continues to affect the country on Sunday, July 16, even as Tropical Storm “Dodong” is already outside the Philippine area of responsibility.

Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and the northern portion of Palawan will experience widespread rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila, Western Visayas, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, and the rest of Mimaropa will have occasional rains, as of the 4:00 a.m. bulletin of state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.

The rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Mindanao and the rest of Visayas, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Sunset is at 6:29 p.m.

Meanwhile, continuous rains this week slightly raised the water level of Angat, La Mesa, Binga, San Roque, Pantabangan, and Magat dams although they remain under the normal high level.
