The EDSA Busway road repair is already 90% done, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

MMDA Chairpersons Don Artes said 50% of the road repair sites have been opened to traffic.

“Kalimitan na lamang hinihintay matuyo kasi may three days na curing period, na in fact, mas napaaga ang marami sa kanila by Tuesday, pwede nang buksan. Konti na lang ‘yung maiiwan,” Artes said.

“Baka nga matapos na lahat by Tuesday,” he added.

Artes said the improved weather condition helped in the conduct of the necessary road repairs.

He noted that there are 19 sites that underwent road repairs where the Department of Public Works and Highways did reblocking and asphalt overlaying in different parts of EDSA.

After all road repairs are completed, Artes said they are expecting a fast and smooth travel through the EDSA Busway. GB/Rod Lagusad
