The Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) will increase its toll starting Monday, Aug. 21.

Starting 12:01 a.m., CAVITEX R1 (Parañaque Toll Plaza) will implement the following rates:

Class 1: P35
Class 2: P70
Class 3: P104

Meanwhile, CAVITEX R1 Extension (Kawit Toll Plaza) will also implement the following rates:

Class 1: P73
Class 2: P146
Class 3: P219

CAVITEX said the new rates were approved by the Toll Regulatory Board.

“The increase in toll rates helps in maintaining a safe and high-quality expressway for our motorists,” CAVITEX said.

CAVITEX said the toll rates are part of the 2017 toll petition filed by Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation and Philippine Reclamation Authority.

The management said the Abante Card Program for Class 1 and Class 2 public utility drivers and operators will also be reactivated to “allow them to continue to enjoy the old toll rates for a period of three months through a rebate program.” – cf
