The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) announced Sunday, Aug. 27, it is suspending voyages to Northern Quezon due to inclement weather brought about by Super Typhoon “Goring.”

PCG temporarily suspended voyages of all vessels and watercraft plying the route within the area of responsibility of Coast Guard Station Northern Quezon.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 is hoisted over the Polillo Group of Islands as of Sunday morning.

“All vessels are reminded to take precautionary measures and be extra vigilant in monitoring the movement of typhoon if deemed to be affected by said weather disturbance,” PCG’s Notice to Mariners read.

“Voyage of vessel will resume until further notice and upon improvement of weather and sea condition,” it further read.

Meanwhile, vessels wanting to take shelter will be permitted as long as it manifests through a written request and no passenger or cargo will be allowed on board, according to PCG.
